SES has been awarded a 5-year contract with Affinity Flying Services for the periodic maintenance, servicing and re-packing of all parachute assemblies.

Part of their Fixed Wing element of the UK Military Flight Training system programme with the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD), SES will service and maintain the parachute systems of the training GROB 120TP fleet. This 8-monthly servicing schedule will involve SES survival equipment technicians checking and repacking parachutes for this training aircraft and undertake rectification and repairs where necessary.

Founder and Managing Director of SES, Del Hall said of this contract, “ we are delighted to have been awarded this contract with Affinity Flying Training Services who are leading on the aircraft fleet and maintenance programme. Our involvement in supporting the world class military flying training programme consolidates a significant milestone for SES and a result of the hard work and dedication by our team in supporting the survival equipment industry.”

SES have a purpose-built facility where the inspections and repacking of the parachutes will take place. Dell Hall’s foundations for the business were established on the strength of his personal industry knowledge from years of working in the RAF and civilian sectors. The AEA Manager for Affinity, Tom Meechan has commented “ we are delighted that SES Ltd is part of the successful team that will be delivering first class equipment in support of the UKMFTS programme and look forward to working with Del and his team at SES Ltd”.

This UK Ministry of Defence contract aims to optimise the fixed wing aircraft provision and reduce the overall cost of pilot training.
